The National Trade Academy
The National Trade Academy (NTA) has offered vocational training since 2000, and from 2004 we have offered courses to international students in the agricultural and equine fields. As many of our international students do not speak English as their first language, we now provide English language courses for the benefit of current and future students.
All NTA English Academy courses are taught by experienced, highly-skilled teachers with both tertiary and internationally-recognised TESOL qualifications. The school offers programmes including: English for General and Academic purposes, after-school and school holiday programmes, high school preparation for school-aged students, and English for exam purposes. All of our English programmes will assist students who wish to maximise their English potential and/or prepare for any one of a number of international examinations in English.
In addition, our unique “English Plus” programmes make us stand out from other English schools. We offer a variety of courses combining English study with training in land-based skills, including horticulture, agriculture, viticulture and horse riding. Students receive focussed language instruction at our new city campus part of the week and enjoy practical training in their chosen field at our parent school, The National Trade Academy, on McLeans Island Road, only 30 minutes’ drive from the city. Clearly, in these courses you enjoy the best of both worlds.
NTA English Academy is dedicated to providing a positive, warm, and friendly environment in which students can learn English quickly and feel safe.
